Welcome to KartCollector (“App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). We respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Short version: KartCollector is a collection manager for racing miniatures. Photos and collection data are yours. We do not sell your data and we do not run third-party advertising SDKs.
1) Information We Collect
A. Content you add
- Photos & media: images of your miniatures that you capture or upload in the App.
- Collection data: your checklists, notes, wishlists, tags, and metadata you enter.
B. Optional account data
If the App offers sign-in (email/password or third-party login), we may collect your name, email address, and basic profile identifiers to create and maintain your account.
C. Device & usage data
We may collect limited technical information such as device model, operating system, app version, and in-app events (e.g., screens viewed) to ensure performance, security, and troubleshooting. Crash reports may include diagnostics.
2) Permissions Used
- Camera / Photos: to capture or select images for your collection.
- Storage: to save and retrieve your collection data and media.
- Network: to sync data or back up to cloud services if you enable those features.
3) How We Use Your Information
- Provide and operate the App’s core features (catalog, checklist, search, backup/sync).
- Maintain safety, prevent abuse, debug issues, and improve reliability and performance.
- Communicate with you about updates, security notices, and support requests.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use third-party ad networks inside the App.
4) Legal Bases (EEA/UK users)
- Contract: to provide the App and its features.
- Legitimate interests: to secure and improve the App (e.g., crash analytics).
- Consent: for optional features (e.g., push notifications, cloud backup) where required.
5) Data Storage & Retention
Your photos and collection data are stored on your device and, if you enable sync/backup, may be stored on our servers or trusted providers. We retain data only as long as necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, or until you delete it or request deletion.
6) Sharing of Information
- Service providers: we may use hosting, analytics, and crash reporting vendors to operate the App. They process data on our behalf and under contractual safeguards.
- Legal reasons: if required by law, to protect rights, safety, and prevent fraud.
- Community features: if you choose to share content publicly or with other users, that content will be visible according to the settings you choose. You can stop sharing at any time.
We do not share data with third parties for their independent marketing purposes.
7) Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
8) Your Rights & Choices
- Access / Export: you can view your collection data in the App; export options may be provided.
- Correction: edit your entries at any time. li>
- Deletion: delete items or your account within the App (if available) or request deletion via email.
- Opt-out: you can disable analytics (if offered in Settings) and revoke permissions in your device settings.
EEA/UK users may also have rights to object or restrict processing and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
9) Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10) International Transfers
If data is processed outside your country, we use appropriate safeguards (such as contractual clauses) to protect it in accordance with applicable laws.
11) Third-Party Services
The App may integrate optional third-party services (e.g., cloud backup, analytics, crash reporting). Their use is disclosed in-app and may be subject to their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing those policies before enabling integrations.
12) Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice in the App.
